Odds and Ends

Ah, the highlight the of the site. Rumors so wacky, so outrageous, so outright wrong that it's amazing somebody thought people would buy them. In this section, I will usually present a logical argument to debunk the rumors. but the oddity of many of the statements means I may also mock and be sarcastic when it's REALLY obvious that the rumors are false. The rumors are in bold underline, the debunking is in normal text.

Sailor Saturn looks ready to attack.
"Who comes UP with this stuff?!"

  • Fiore is a Death Buster.
Fiore was only in the SailormoonR movie. The Death Busters were the villain group from SailormoonS.

  • The Death Busters and Uranus and Neptune were searching for Pure Hearts. It turned out that Uranus and Neptune had the Pure Hearts. They were the only ones with Pure Hearts.
No, they were searching for the three talismans, which were contained inside Pure Hearts. Everyone has a pure heart, just certain people had purer hearts (i.e. Usagi and Chibi-Usa). The talismans were inside Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto's hearts. Later, the Death Busters were searching for the purest Pure Heart to revive Mistress 9, which is why even after the talismans were found, the daimons were still taking out Pure Hearts. Sailor Moon was able to defeat Master Pharoah 90 because she had the purest heart of all.

  • Ami's attacks are the strongest later in the show. Without her, the whole team would fall apart.
While Mercury does gain some offensive attacks later in the show, she's not the crux of the team. Besides, since when were bubbles able to destroy the world?

  • Tuxedo Mask throws roses that symbolize his love for Serena.
They're just an attack of his with no real symbolism. They don't even exist in the manga.

  • Michelle and Haruka share an apartment and are best friends.
They are shown living in different apartments, and they are definitely more than just friends. Even in the dub, they're still cousins!

  • Saturn can create life and take it away.
    Well, take it away anyway...

  • Uranus has the power of earthquakes.
Not quite. Her element is the sky, and her attacks are sky based.

  • Meiou Setsuna means King of the Dead.
No, it means "Moment Dark King."

  • Sailor Pluto was placed in the Time Corridors by her parents to protect her from harm when the Negaverse attacked.
Pluto is the daughter of Chronos, the God of Time. Her place guarding the Space-Time Door is because of her lineage, not because of the Dark Kingdom.

  • The Outers go to Mugen Gakuen High School.
Mugen Gakuen actually means Infinity Academy. This name is like calling it Infinity Academy High School.

  • Neptune's attacks are defensive, while Uranus's are offensive.
Tell that to the monsters! Neptune has actually killed a few daimon by combining her attack with Uranus', and in Haruka and Michiru's origin episode, she killed a daimon on her own.

  • Amara tends to act silly, though she's serious as Uranus.
Somehow, I can't exactly picture Haruka as a party animal.

  • Serena means Bunny of the Moon in Japanese.
Since when has English been Japanese?

  • As the series progressed, Usagi learned to stop going ballistic every time a guy walked by.
Because we all know how Usagi just throws herself at the feet of everything male.

  • The reason Usagi and Rei don't get along is because Rei thinks she should be leader and that Mamoru should be hers.
Take one part dub. Mix with original names. Then mix in a good amount of B.S. I wouldn't mention this except that it's reffering to the Japanese version. Even in the dub, Raye never thought she should be leader right off the bat. And they still don't hate each other, even if it's harder to tell in the dub.

  • Ami hardly ever talks, and when she does, something kinda strange comes out of her mouth.
Ami: .......I like Tuna Fish Jalapeno Pie!....

  • Ami's not that smart because she just has her computer do all her work for her.
Or maybe she was given the computer because she was the only one smart enough to use it? She does have an IQ of 300.

  • Haruka is the strongest Outer Scout.
No offense, Haruka-sama, but you still can't destroy an entire planet or freeze time.

  • Melvin is the school's smartest pupil.
Try Ami. Umino is smart, but he's never been the smartest kid in school.
